The Chinese giant crossed its best features with Spotify and made its own music listening app called TikTok Music. The service is now available in five countries.

The new subscription-based music streaming platform allows the user to swipe 30-second previews of songs, add them to favorites, comment and forward to friends. This is how your music feed is formed.

While TikTok Music has its own dedicated app, the new streaming service can also be linked to a standard TikTok account, allowing users to listen, share and download the music they find through the social media platform.

The service also includes features that allow users to import their music library, download songs for offline listening, create collaborative playlists, view lyrics in real time, and find tracks by searching for their lyrics. Moreover, TikTok Music offers a Shazam-like feature, enabling users to identify songs they hear in their vicinity.

It first debuted in Indonesia and Brazil and is now available in Australia, Mexico and Singapore. As for the US market release, specific details are yet to be announced by the company. However, they have assured users that more updates will be shared in the upcoming months.
