WhatsApp is testing several new features that should be available to Android and iOS users soon. Among them, the ability to send messages to yourself and the ability to put voice messages in the status instead of or in addition to text messages.

Message Yourself

WhatsApp has launched a new feature called "Message Yourself". It allows users to forward messages to a dialogue with themselves, thereby saving them. In addition, you will be able to take notes and save files in this new section. It will be at the top of your WhatsApp contact list.

The feature works like "Saved Massages" in Telegram and is expected to roll out to all WhatsApp users on Android and iOS in the coming weeks.

A Voice Note Feature Will Be Available on WhatsApp Status

In the new version of WhatsApp for iOS, users are expected to be able to share a voice instead of the regular WhatsApp status. iOS users will be able to share a voice note of up to 30 seconds in their status right next to the text section.

Just like any other status updates, your voice memos will also be available to the people you choose. You can view your status's privacy settings to choose who you want to share your voice note status with.

Since this feature is still under development, no one knows exactly what WhatsApp voice status will look like, but we do know that it will be similar to a regular status in the app.
