YouTube is adding new tools to its Shorts to make it easier for creators to edit their videos. According to the company, in the updated video editor, users will be able to adjust the timing of individual clips using zoom and snap tools, rearrange their videos, and add music and text overlays. Users will also be able to preview their Shorts before publishing it.

Adding music to Shorts will become even easier. With the help of a special tool, creators will be able to select a song and have their video clips automatically synchronized with the rhythm. This process will no longer need to be done manually. Users can access the editing timeline by sliding up from the bottom of the Shorts editor.

Also, Short will add templates, so users can choose photos from their gallery and use them with video filters and overlay effects. Moreover, creators can use images from the gallery as stickers in Short or create their own stickers using AI. All that is needed is to describe their stickers and choose from generated versions.

According to YouTube’s announcement, the updated editor will be available later this spring.
