Google is testing a new Google Maps navigation sidebar
Google never stops improving its products and has now started testing a new sidebar navigation system in Google Maps.

Google never stops improving its products. We recently wrote about the new features of Google Maps that allow you to search for the best EV charging station and view information about places around you using the camera on your phone. Now Google has decided to improve the interface of Google maps and began testing a new sidebar navigation system.

As we can see, the "Explore", "Trips", "Saved", and "Contribute" options have been moved to the sidebar. And all other menu items will be opened by clicking the "More" button. For comparison, now all the options are hidden in the burger menu.

It appears that this feature is still in testing and may take time to become available to all users. But the sidebar already looks like a really good solution that will make navigation easier, so we'll be looking forward to this feature.
